We are a Moving Company , fast-growing residential moving company, looking for a Full-Charge Bookkeeper who understands accrual accounting, inventory management, and payroll processing—not just basic data entry. This role requires a high level of accounting expertise, compliance knowledge, and organizational skills to ensure accurate financial reporting and categorization. We will also require you to conduct a structured financial questionnaire to ensure data is properly categorized, reconciled, and in compliance with U.S. accounting standards. Key Responsibilities: ✔️ Financial Data Categorization & Questionnaire Process – Implement and manage a structured questionnaire system to ensure proper classification of transactions, revenue, and expenses. ✔️ Full-Cycle Bookkeeping (Accrual Accounting) – Handle all journal entries, reconciliations, and ensure accurate financial reporting. ✔️ Payroll Processing – Manage payroll for both 1099 contractors and W-2 employees, ensuring multi-state tax compliance. ✔️ Inventory & Job Costing – Track moving materials, equipment, and costs per job to improve profitability. ✔️ Accounts Payable & Receivable – Monitor invoices, vendor payments, customer collections, and overdue accounts. ✔️ Financial Reporting & Analysis – Prepare P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and profitability forecasts. ✔️ Tax Compliance & U.S. Regulations – Ensure adherence to state and federal payroll laws, sales tax requirements, and financial compliance. ✔️ Process Improvement & Audit Support – Identify inefficiencies, recommend financial automation tools, and improve reporting accuracy. Ideal Candidate Qualifications: ✅ 5+ Years as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper (preferably in the moving, logistics, or service industry). ✅ Proficiency in Accrual Accounting – Experience handling complex reconciliations and multi-category financial data classification. ✅ Experience with Payroll & Compliance – Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll, tax laws, and U.S. financial regulations. ✅ Strong Data Organization & Categorization Skills – Ability to structure and implement financial questionnaires for proper transaction classification. ✅ Tech-Savvy & Software Proficient – QuickBooks Online, SmartMoving CRM, HubSpot, Excel/Google Sheets, and financial automation tools. ✅ CPA or Equivalent Financial Certification is a strong plus. ✅ Detail-Oriented, Analytical & Proactive – Must identify errors, provide insights, and offer solutions to improve financial workflows.
