We’re seeking an experienced federal workers' compensation billing specialist to help us recover a denied claim (~$41K) submitted under the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP). The claim was denied due to incorrect or improperly formatted billing codes, and we’re looking for someone who can help us assess whether the claim is still appealable and guide (or handle) the process of correcting and resubmitting or formally appealing the denial. Strong preference for this to be a contingency based role. We’re open to a 10-20% contingency depending on the complexity and time required. What You'll Do: -Review the original claim and denial documentation Identify coding or billing format issues that led to the rejection -Advise whether the claim is still within the window for appeal or correction -Assist in preparing a corrected claim or formal appeal package -Navigate OWCP/ACS billing systems and submission protocols -Communicate with OWCP if needed, and follow through until resolution
