Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Freelance Accounting Infrastructure Specialist to set up the accounting and bookkeeping infrastructure for our subscription-based model. The candidate MUST have expertise in setting up accounting systems for SAAS companies, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and adhering to state and federal guidelines. We are a startup with only a handful of transactions at this point, accounts can be modified with ease. Responsibilities: Assess current accounting practices and develop a tailored plan for setting up the accounting infrastructure. Design and implement systems for tracking subscription revenue, expenses, and other financial transactions. Ensure proper documentation and classification of financial data for accurate reporting. Develop processes for managing recurring billing, invoicing, and collections. Requirements: Proven experience in accounting and bookkeeping, with a focus on SAAS companies. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills. Availability to start immediately and commit to the project timeline
