Hydrologic modeling for temporary bypass of the A-5 Canal simulating surface and ground water flow to determine how diverted canal flows will move through the bypass channel under various storm events. This includes hydrologic modeling to estimate runoff volumes using rainfall and watershed data, and hydraulic modeling to simulate flow rates, flow paths, and water levels along the proposed bypass route. The analysis must ensure the bypass prevents flooding, maintains system connectivity, and complies with South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) design standards. Knowledge of MODFLOW and/or Groundwater Vistas software is strongly preferred.
