The 2001 Land Rover Discovery II has a drip rail that channels water away from the roof. The original drip rails were made of plastic and have become cracked and deformed. I plan to replace the old rails with custom rubber extrusions to address this. I will provide a physical sample of the existing rail and need a CAD model of the profile. Ultimately, this CAD model will be provided to a rubber extrusion manufacturer to produce a short run of the replacement drip rails. Project Goals * Primary Objective: Create a precise CAD model (2D profile and possibly a short 3D segment for clarity) that captures all critical dimensions and features of the original drip rail. * Secondary Objective: Ensure the model is ready for direct use in a custom rubber extrusion process (appropriate tolerances, consistent wall thicknesses, etc.) and accounts for the material properties of rubber. Deliverables * Detailed 2D Cross-Section (with all dimensions, tolerances, and a reference scale). * 3D CAD Model in a commonly used format, ideally in Fusion 360. * Design Notes: Brief commentary on any design considerations or potential improvements. * Guidance work with the rubber manufacturer to produce the profile.
