Description:
We are a boutique cybersecurity consulting firm serving small and mid-sized businesses, with a focus on financial services and other highly regulated industries. We provide vCISO services, cybersecurity assessments, compliance support (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA), and managed cybersecurity strategy. We’re looking for a part-time cold caller to help us connect with qualified leads and schedule discovery calls with decision-makers at finance-focused companies across the U.S. What You’ll Be Doing: • Making outbound cold calls to prospects from a provided, curated list contacts • Following a structured but flexible call script (you’ll have some freedom to adapt your voice and flow) • Handling light discovery on calls (asking simple qualifying questions) • Booking qualified discovery meetings via our appointment setting software • Logging each call outcome (no answer, callback, not a fit, booked meeting, etc.) into our CRM • Providing short end-of-day call summaries You will not be required to close sales or manage clients—just open the door and book clean, qualified calls. The founder will handle all closing and delivery. What Success Looks Like: • 10–15 hours/week of cold calling during U.S. business hours • ~25–30 dials/day with a goal of 1–2 qualified meetings per week to start • Good call notes and clear communication • High professionalism in tone and approach—no robotic scripts • Respectful handling of objections, gatekeepers, and busy professionals Ideal Experience & Skills: • U.S.-based only • Clear, confident, and warm phone presence • 1–3+ years of B2B appointment setting or outbound calling experience • Experience calling into industries like: SaaS, cybersecurity, IT services, or B2B tech • Familiarity with compliance or security needs in finance/fintech is a big plus • Able to follow a script, but not dependent on one • Comfortable working using appointment setters and CRM tools • Dependable and organized with strong follow-through **Bonuses included for each qualified, attended meeting** **Pilot phase = 10–15 hours/week for the first 4–6 weeks, with potential to scale if results are strong**
