Azure & AWS SSO Integration: Automate User Deactivation Sync

We are implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) between Azure Entra ID (Active Directory) and AWS Cognito. Our goal is to ensure that when a user is disabled in Active Directory, the change is detected and automatically disables the user in Cognito. We have an AWS API Gateway that triggers a Lambda function, but we need a review and confirmation of its setup. The right candidate will help us design and implement a system to: Monitor logs on an Azure AD virtual machine to detect when a user is disabled. Trigger an Azure-based service (e.g., Logic App, Event Grid, or another recommended tool) when this happens. Send the disabled user’s information to an AWS API Gateway, which will call our Lambda function to disable the user in Cognito. Document the process so we can replicate it for other customers. Required Skills: ✅ Expertise in Azure services (including Logs, Logic Apps, Event Grid, or other relevant tools). ✅ Strong knowledge of Active Directory / Entra ID logs and event monitoring. ✅ Familiarity with API workflows and Azure API integration. ✅ Experience with AWS services, specifically API Gateway, Lambda, and Cognito. ✅ Ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and document the setup for future replication. Extra Details-Must be willing to communicate thru a third party app with messaging and screen sharing.
