Description: Looking for an experienced Postman expert who can provide strategic guidance on selling, positioning, and expanding Postman adoption within an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Postman’s advanced features, automation, security, and collaboration capabilities while also understanding how to build a compelling business case for enterprise investment. You will help articulate Postman’s value proposition from both an end-user perspective and a business/organizational perspective, demonstrating how Postman can help the enterprise client streamline API development, improve collaboration, and enhance security at scale. Key Areas of Expertise: 1. Driving Postman Adoption & Enterprise Growth • Ability to position Postman as an essential API collaboration tool for large teams and organizations. • Experience working with multiple Postman pricing tiers (Free, Basic, Professional, Enterprise) and crafting a strategic roadmap for enterprise consolidation. • Strong understanding of challenges in fragmented API development teams and how Postman’s team collaboration, security, and governance features address them. • Ability to demonstrate and create presentations for executive-level discussions on the business impact of Postman’s Enterprise plan. 2. Postman Team & Permissions Management (RBAC, Compliance, and Workflow Considerations) • Deep understanding of Postman’s role-based access control (RBAC) to help enterprise clients maintain compliance and control over API development and ability to articulate them to an inquiring enterprise client. • Expertise in structuring team workspaces, managing permissions, and setting up governance policies for secure and scalable collaboration. • Ability to advise a client on best practices for API security, governance, and compliance when transitioning a company to a centralized Postman enterprise setup. 3. API Testing, Automation & CI/CD Integration • Strong knowledge of Postman’s testing capabilities, including pre-request scripts, test assertions, and workflow automation. • Experience integrating Postman with CI/CD pipelines using Newman CLI to enable automated API testing at scale. • Understanding of how API monitoring, testing, and reporting contribute to reliability, performance, and security in enterprise environments. • Ability to present technical demonstrations showcasing how Postman improves API testing workflows in an organization. 4. Postman Collection Design & Advanced Use Cases • Expertise in designing Postman collections with dynamic request chaining, where responses from one API call dictate the next request. • Strong grasp of scripting with JavaScript inside Postman to create complex, automated workflows. • Ability to showcase real-world use cases, such as data-driven testing, environment-specific API executions, and API governance workflows. Ideal Candidate: • 5+ years of Postman experience in a API Development, API Testing, technical sales, solutions consulting, and/or solutions architecture role. • Deep knowledge of Postman’s enterprise capabilities, including security controls, RBAC, API testing, and automation. • Experience working with API development teams, DevOps, and IT decision-makers to implement Postman at scale. • Comfortable engaging with both technical and business stakeholders to drive enterprise adoption and expansion. • Ability to craft business cases for Postman’s ROI, articulating the impact of standardization, security, and efficiency improvements. • Any experience with API lifecycle management, DevOps workflows, or API security best practices. - Previous employee of Postman (as a Solution Architect) is a huge plus, thought not required
