Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer with hands-on experience in STM32WL microcontrollers, LoRa, FreeRTOS, SPI, and GPIO programming. You will be responsible for developing real-time firmware, interfacing with hardware peripherals, and optimizing low-level drivers for high-performance embedded applications. Key Responsibilities • Develop, test, and optimize embedded software for STM32 microcontrollers running FreeRTOS. • Develop, test, and optimize a P2P LoRa application between two STM32WL microcontrollers. • Implement and debug SPI communication protocols to interface with another STM32 device. • Configure and control GPIOs for various hardware functionalities. • Optimize real-time task scheduling and resource management within FreeRTOS. Required Skills & Qualifications • Experience with STM32WL microcontrollers. • Experience with LoRa on the STM32WL microcontroller, P2P using LoRa a plus. • Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded development. • Experience with FreeRTOS task scheduling, synchronization mechanisms, and resource management. • Hands-on experience with SPI and GPIO programming. • Experience with version control systems (Git). • Experience with DMA and interrupt-driven programming. • Knowledge of bootloaders and firmware update mechanisms. • Knowledge of Python for scripting/debugging. Contractor must sign additional NDA before work begins. Contractor must be a U.S. citizen and willing to undergo a background check.
