Position Overview We are seeking a Business Consultant – Design Thinking Specialist to lead and facilitate human-centered design approaches that drive innovation and strategic transformation for our clients. This role requires deep expertise in Design Thinking methodologies, problem-solving frameworks, and an ability to produce the key outputs that support business innovation. Key Responsibilities Facilitate Design Thinking workshops, sprints, and collaborative ideation sessions for clients. Guide stakeholders through the five phases of Design Thinking: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. Conduct user research to uncover insights that inform problem definition and solution development. Develop and deliver Design Thinking outputs, including: Empathy Maps – Capture user needs, behaviors, pain points, and motivations. User Personas – Create detailed profiles representing target audiences. Journey Maps – Visualize the end-to-end experience of users interacting with a product/service. Problem Statements (How Might We…) – Clearly define challenges using a structured problem-framing approach. Brainstorming & Ideation Sessions – Generate innovative ideas with clients using creative problem-solving techniques. Concept Sketches & Storyboards – Illustrate potential solutions and user experiences. Prototypes (Low-Fidelity & High-Fidelity) – Develop interactive wireframes, mockups, and tangible prototypes for testing. Usability Testing Plans & Feedback Reports – Conduct and analyze user testing to refine solutions. Business Model Canvases – Map out value propositions, customer relationships, and revenue models. Service Blueprints – Detail service interactions across frontstage and backstage processes. Translate Design Thinking outputs into actionable business strategies that align with client goals. Work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that drive measurable impact. Develop case studies and insights from past projects to support knowledge-sharing within Saulsberry Group. Qualifications Proven experience in Design Thinking facilitation and application in a business or consulting environment. Expertise in user research, prototyping, and iterative problem-solving techniques. Strong ability to create and deliver the full range of Design Thinking outputs. Excellent workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience working with leadership teams and executives to drive innovation. Proficiency in tools such as Miro, Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, or similar for prototyping and collaboration. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to turn insights into action. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Design, Innovation, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Prior experience in consulting, strategic planning, or innovation roles is a plus.
