We are seeking a skilled database administrator to assist with the transition of our PostgreSQL database from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have experience in database migration, ensuring a smooth transfer with minimal downtime. Responsibilities include planning the migration process, executing data transfer, and verifying data integrity post-migration. If you have a strong background in cloud services and PostgreSQL databases, we want to hear from you! Must be able to video chat/zoom. Must be in USA and nothing overseas. DevOPs Engineer Extensive knowledge and expertise in multi-cloud AWS and GCP environments Implementation of cloud infrastructure on GCP Migrate PostGres database from AWS to GCP Historical Data Migration to GCP Cloud SQL Historical data fully migrated & confirmed. Data integrity validated; schema compatibility verified. IAM roles configured for secure access. Key archival data securely stored Database schema optimized. Scale down & prepare AWS for final termination. Read-only historical data access (if needed). Scale down Aurora RDS, remove ECS tasks, idle ELBs/NAT Gateways. Clean up S3 & retire IMGIX. Remove leftover AWS IAM credentials. Provide minimal or read-only AWS footprint if required.
