I'm seeking a talented Product Designer to help take my website, moonlitemoney.com, to the next level. We recently released an MVP, but have been completely overhauling the design to be much more modern, user-friendly, and community-based. We have an existing designer on the project who is amazing, but has very limited bandwidth. We're seeking someone to come on and work side-by-side with him to speed the project up. Moonlite is a tech platform designed to help people discover new ways to make money that align with their skills and interests, then connect them with the resources they need to get started. We seek to leverage community contributions to uncover new ideas, ensure data accuracy and expose ineffective get-rich-quick schemes, false gurus, and scammers. The primary monetization method will be through affiliate links. This creates a passive income system to make money without charging users or requiring customer support. From a business perspective, the tool will essentially serve as a funnel to affiliate links. There are other monetization paths such as usage-based and freemium that we can explore as the product evolves. I'm looking for someone who understands and loves the idea of helping others align how they make money with their passions so they can truly live their best lives. Browny points if you've ready Mastery, worked on database SaaS products, or with affiliate blogs, are familiar with upvote, downvote, and karma systems like Reddit, or feel a duty to expose ineffective get-rich-quick schemes, false gurus, and scammers. Key Responsibilities Iterate and Improve the MVP Design • Review the existing MVP design and identify opportunities to improve it. • Focus on improving user journeys, usability, and engagement. • Work on optimizing complex filtering systems and other interactive features. Enhance User-Centric Features • Collect and incorporate user feedback and product insights into design iterations. • Refine the product’s copy to ensure clarity, usability, and brand alignment. Bring Fresh Ideas to the Table • Understand and embrace the Moonlite mission of delivering the best side hustle and purpose-aligned opportunities. • Suggest innovative approaches to enhance the user experience. Required Skills and Experience • Strong Understanding of User Journeys: Ability to design intuitive, seamless paths for users interacting with a technology product. • Experience with Database-Type Products: Familiarity with systems involving complex filters, sorting, and data management is crucial. • Proficiency in Product Copywriting: Clear, concise, and user-friendly English copywriting to improve product messaging. • Technical Knowledge: Experience working on technology products, especially those that include social elements like upvote/downvote or reputation systems (e.g., Reddit, or similar). • Strong Communication Skills: Fluent in English with a proactive communication style. Here are the next steps for select candidates: • You will be sent a Loom video expanding on the mission, vision, and the initial V2 wireframes • Provide feedback on the current search screen wireframes, taking into account all types of sub-categories. • Design a lo-fi wireframe for a moonlite detail page with threads. • Design a user flow that optimizes the conversion rate to affiliate links.
