Job Title: Fractional HR Experts Needed: UKG Implementation, Compensation Strategy, and Handbook/Policy Development (Maui Time Zone) About Us: We are a construction company based in Maui, Hawaii, undergoing a major HR transformation. We’re rolling off a PEO, bringing all functions in-house, and currently mid-implementation with UKG Pro. We’re looking for multiple high-caliber consultants to support across key areas on a contract basis. Project Overview: We’re hiring three fractional consultants for concurrent HR projects: 1. UKG Implementation Project Manager Scope: - Lead and project manage UKG Pro implementation - Oversee system configuration, testing, data migration - Partner with internal staff and UKG support - Provide PM tools and drive project timelines * employee communications Requirements: - 3+ full UKG Pro implementations - Experience managing HRIS, Benefits, Timekeeping, Payroll integrations - Strong project leadership skills 2. Compensation Strategy Consultant Scope: - Build or refine job architecture and salary bands - Conduct market benchmarking (construction/Hawaii preferred) - Support bonus plan design - Align compensation philosophy with performance strategy and HRIS data structure Requirements: - 5+ years in compensation strategy or consulting - Familiarity with Radford, Mercer, or similar comp databases - Experience in Hawaii or field-based environments a plus 3. HR Handbook & Policy Consultant Scope: - Create or refine an employee handbook - Update policies: leave, discipline, remote work, safety, etc. - Ensure compliance with Hawaii and federal law - Prepare for a full PEO transition offload Requirements: - Deep knowledge of employment law (esp. Hawaii) - Experience drafting compliant, accessible, and values-aligned policies - Prior PEO offboarding experience helpful Logistics: - Start Date:*ASAP - Location: Remote, but must align with Hawaii-Aleutian Time Zone (UTC-10) for minimum 5 hours overlap - Commitment: 10–30 hours/week, flexible by role - Duration: 4–12 weeks with potential for extension To Apply: Please indicate which role(s) you are applying for and submit: - A short introduction + relevant experience - 1–2 work samples or case studies - Hourly rate and HST availability - Any prior experience with construction, field-based workforces, or Hawaii-specific employment environments
