We're looking for a U.S.-based fractional controller to help us develop and implement effective procedures for our multi-entity SMB using QuickBooks Online. This role would be primarily focused on developing/implementing procedures and controls along with oversight of a junior handling daily AP/AR and bank rec prep. About us • 4‑entity healthcare services group based in Oregon, ~$5 MM revenue, cash-based accounting • Uniform stack for each entity: QBO Advanced (individual accounts for each entity) with uniform chart of accounts + Ramp (expense management + bill pay) + Mercury (bank accounts) • Day‑8 close target; offshore junior handles daily AP/AR and bank rec prep. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial management within a multi-entity structure, ensuring compliance and efficiency in accounting practices. This role will work alongside our CFO. What you’ll own • Maintain and iterate the close checklist. • Review/approve bank & credit‑card reconciliations, inter‑company eliminations, fixed‑asset roll‑forward. • Work towards development of a rolling 13-week cash forecast. • Coach one offshore junior accountant; set materiality thresholds and QC standards. • Develop and maintain SOPs Must‑haves • U.S.‑based CPA or CMA (attach license #). • QuickBooks Online Advanced certification (attach badge). • Experience controlling multi‑entity or multi‑location companies Nice‑to‑haves • Experience with Healthcare, MSO, or Services-based businesses • Familiarity with Ramp, Mercury and Rippling (HRIS)
