Project Overview We are launching a themed EDM and trap music channel. The channel promotes upcoming artists and showcases their music with a simple video featuring an original character called “Sailbad the Sinner". We are seeking a skilled video editor/animator to help produce simple yet engaging music-synced videos. You’ll receive an image (or series of images) of the character and be tasked with incorporating subtle animations or reactive elements that match the mood and tempo of the featured tracks. What You’ll Do Music Sync: Create a visual sequence that aligns tightly with the beat, drops, and overall energy of the track (EDM, trap, or similar genres). Character Animation/Integration: Start with a provided static image (or layered PSD) of Sailbad the Sinner. Add simple loops, head-bobbing, or background motion to bring the character to life without needing full-frame animation. The character should appear to be vibing to the music. Background/Visual FX: Incorporate atmospheric elements—e.g., smoke, particle effects, subtle color pulses—to maintain the channel’s dark, moody vibe. Brand Integration: Include the channel’s name/logo. Potentially display track info or credits (e.g., “Artist Name – Track Title”) in an unobtrusive yet stylish manner. Final Output: Deliver a full-length video (3–5 minutes) in 4k (or higher) with properly synced music. Desired Aesthetic Dark & Edgy: Pirate/nautical undertones, low-light atmospheres, minimal neon highlights. Music-Reactive: Elements should move, glitch, or pulse in time with the beats/drops. Simple Yet Engaging: We’re not looking for overly complex animations—just enough to captivate viewers. Key Skills & Qualifications Video Editing Proficiency: Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve. Motion Graphics/Animation: Comfortable in Adobe After Effects (or comparable software) to create or integrate simple animations. Audio-Visual Sync: Ability to time visuals precisely with transitions, bass drops, etc. Artistic Eye for Mood & Style: Understanding of how to maintain a cohesive dark/pirate aesthetic that complements trap/EDM music. Portfolio/Examples: Please share any relevant music visualizers or animated music videos you’ve done before. Deliverables & Workflow Initial Concept/Storyboard (short, rough example or mood board). Draft Video (1–2 watermarked test comps or short clip previews to confirm direction). Final Video Export in a YouTube-friendly format (1080p or 4K, 16:9, H.264 MP4). Revisions as needed. Estimated Project Length Each song/video: ~3–5 minutes of final runtime. We may start with 1 test video; if it’s a good fit, this can become an ongoing engagement for multiple song releases.
