I have a therapist's website built on WordPress with Elementor, currently using a custom theme ("VCS Pro") implemented by a previous developer I no longer work with. The site consists of approximately 11 pages: - Homepage - 6 Specialization Pages (e.g., ADHD, Trauma, etc.) - About - FAQ - Media - Contact We frequently run into technical issues when updating WordPress and plugins. The site currently uses 21 active plugins, and an SEO audit revealed that many of them are redundant or conflicting — particularly caching, analytics, migration, and image optimization plugins. I’m looking to simplify and streamline the backend to prevent these issues from recurring. Scope of Work: - Audit and reduce the number of plugins, replacing them with more reliable or multifunctional options where appropriate - Eliminate the outdated custom theme ("VCS Pro") and migrate to a stable, well-supported theme that’s compatible with Elementor - Implement minor design improvements for better user experience and visual consistency - Ensure that all SEO elements are preserved or improved during this process (including metadata, internal links, and redirects) - Optimize site speed and mobile performance (current scores are 65/100 mobile and 89/100 desktop) - Set up Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and any other relevant tracking tools - Add one new specialization page (bringing the total to 12), following the design/style of the existing ones - Show me how to make minor text edits on my own Ideal Candidate: - Expert in WordPress and Elementor - Strong design skills for UI/UX enhancements - Proven experience in technical SEO, site speed optimization, and plugin management - Reliable communicator and detail-oriented Bonus Skills (Nice to Have): - Experience working with healthcare or therapist websites - Basic UX/copywriting knowledge - Familiarity with accessibility best practices Other Details: - Please share relevant project examples, especially if you’ve worked on therapist or healthcare sites before - Project timeline: 2 weeks - In addition, I'd like to find someone who is responsive if we ever have an issue with the website that can help fix it quickly.
