We're a US-based cannabis company seeking a digital PR Specialist with 2+ years of experience. We're looking for someone who can: -Conduct targeted media outreach to secure press from cannabis-friendly outlets that have high domain authority -Build and maintain relationships with key reporters and editors in cannabis, lifestyle, and consumer media -Strategize and pitch relevant news hooks and product angles -Leverage tools like Prowly (or similar) to manage outreach and monitor coverage -Collaborate directly with our in-house marketing and SEO team -Create a comprehensive tracking system for weekly outreach, backlinks landed, and the value of those placements -Land opportunities for ongoing relationships and placements with qualified publishers You're a strong candidate for this role if you: -Have 2+ years of digital PR experience — major bonus if you’ve worked with DTC e-commerce brands and/or cannabis brands before. -Know how to craft a pitch that actually gets opened — and a subject line that gets clicked. -Are self-starting, organized, and thrive in a fast-moving, high-ownership freelance role -Have hands-on experience with PR platforms (Prowly, Muck Rack, etc.) -Bonus points if you have an extensive knowledge of cannabis -Bonus points if you have existing relationships with cannabis publishers, journalists, or similarly relevant contacts A full description of the role is attached below.
