We are seeking an experienced application advisor with strong writing skills to join our team on a seasonal basis. Knowledge of the US medical residency application process a plus, but not required. Key Dates & Commitment April - May: Paid training, 4-6 hours weekly. June: Supervised writing/editing work, 10-25 hours weekly. July 1 – October 1: Independent, client-facing writing/editing/advising work; Full-time availability required (25-40+ hours weekly). Training = $1,000 Post-training work is paid per writing assignment This role offers the opportunity to help shape clients' futures by combining narrative expertise with hands-on guidance through the high-stakes medical residency application process. What We’re Looking For Experience in Application Advising: Experience guiding students through complex graduate-level (or similar) application processes. Interpersonal Excellence: Exceptional ability to connect with clients, understand their goals, and provide thoughtful, supportive guidance during high-pressure timelines. Outstanding Writing & Editing Skills: Proven ability to write and refine personal narratives within a professional/academic context. Receptive to Feedback: Ability to incorporate clients’ revision requests. Attention to Detail: Comfort working within tight word counts and ensuring consistency with company standards and deadlines. Quick Learner: Willingness to adapt to our processes and deliver consistently high-quality work. Bonus Points: Familiarity with medicine or medical terminology (helpful, but not required). Key Responsibilities One-on-One Advising: Provide guidance and support to clients navigating a multi-faceted application process. Team Collaboration: Work closely with clients and internal team members to refine and finalize application components. Personalized Storytelling: Collaborate with clients to uncover their unique stories and craft impactful personal statements. CV Development: Create polished, strategically tailored CVs. Additional Documents: Letters of interest, letters of intent, thank you letters, etc.
