Scope of Work for Residential Landscape Architect Project Overview: The landscape architect will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of the outdoor spaces for a residential property. Conceptual Design • Preliminary Design Concepts: Develop 2-3 conceptual designs for the property, showing different layout options for plantings, hardscapes, water features, and other elements. • Client Review: Present the conceptual designs to the homeowner for feedback and revisions. 2. Design Development • Final Design Plan: Refine the chosen concept into a detailed design, including: o Planting Plan: Selection and placement of trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation. o Hardscape Plan: Design of patios, walkways, retaining walls, driveways, and other non-plant elements. o Water Features: Design of ponds, fountains, or other water elements (if applicable). o Lighting Plan: Placement and types of outdoor lighting. o Irrigation Plan: Design of irrigation systems to ensure proper watering. o Grading and Drainage Plan: Ensure proper water runoff and soil stability. • Materials Specification: Select and specify all materials to be used, such as pavers, stone, mulch, and plants. 3. Construction Documentation • Detailed Drawings: Provide construction-ready drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details for all aspects of the design. • Specifications: Outline all materials, finishes, and construction methods.
