We are a custom wood-window manufacturer specializing in historical-style double-hung windows for properties located in historic districts and projects seeking historic tax-credits. We are looking for a CAD designer who can prepare submittal drawings for our customers and shop drawings for our production staff. Ideal candidate will help us move from our current design process of project-specific 2D CAD drawings to dynamic 3D models. While every window we make is "unique," they generally have the same components and assembly, we are just changing the size of the unit or the radius characteristics. We would like to use 3D models to pivot this role from producing repetitive drawings to a more value-added role that will help us improve our current products and design new products. We have a very cool niche and a great team, but we recognize that we will need to embrace technology to continue to be relevant and serve our customer base. Ideal candidate will have experience in the millwork or fenestration industries.
