Licensed TN Pro Needed: Fire Separation or Stamped Plans

We are seeking a Tennessee-registered design professional (Architect or Engineer) to assist with either of the following, depending on findings: Evaluate Existing Conditions – Assess whether the current floor/ceiling assembly between two spaces (garage and living area) meets the required 1-hour fire separation per applicable Johnson City building codes and IBC/IRC. Provide a written letter or report certifying compliance if it meets code. OR... Design and Provide Stamped Plans – If existing conditions are not compliant, prepare plans and specifications for a code-compliant, fire-rated floor/ceiling assembly, including: Construction details referencing tested UL assemblies (or equivalent) Notes on required firestop systems for penetrations (plumbing, electrical, etc.) Plans must be stamped and signed by a TN-licensed professional for submission to the Johnson City Building Department
