We are a small, mission-driven consulting firm seeking intermediate to expert-level data science support to help us build resilient data models and develop accuracy metrics that support model selection and validation. The ideal candidate will bring experience in image processing, machine learning, and measurement extraction, and will be comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role involves developing algorithms to automatically extract key measurements from captured visual data, validating these against reference standards, and supporting broader data analysis and reporting. The candidate will also contribute to the creation of monitoring dashboards and documentation that communicate model performance. Key Responsibilities: Automatic Measurement Development Design and implement image processing and ML algorithms to extract physical measurements from captured data Validate results against traditional/manual measurement methods Data Analysis & Reporting Develop pipelines to store, track, and analyze measurement and predictive data Create visualizations and monitoring tools to evaluate model performance over time Export data in usable formats and contribute to written reports summarizing findings Documentation & Support Maintain well-documented, reproducible code Assist with the development of dashboards or internal tools for tracking model health Qualifications: Advanced degree (or equivalent experience) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field Strong background in machine learning, image processing, and computer vision Experience developing and documenting production-grade code and pipelines Familiarity with Python-based ML libraries such as scikit-learn, OpenCV, PyTorch, or TensorFlow Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills Ability to work independently and communicate results clearly Comfortable working with a multidisciplinary team, including science and engineering collaborators
