Lewis and Smith Engineering, a Tucson-based civil engineering firm, is seeking an experienced AutoCAD drafter for contract-based support. We specialize in design-build for undeveloped commercial and residential properties, using point clouds and photogrammetry to create precise 2D/3D surfaces for design and excavation integration. What We Need: Drafting support for drainage and grading plans, NPPO, SWWP, and site plans in compliance with local county requirements (Marana, Pima, Oro Valley, Cochise, Maricopa). Ability to work from survey data, point cloud models, and engineering markups to produce accurate, permit-ready drawings. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 2D/3D, civil design experience, and local Arizona site development standards is a plus. Work & Communication: Contract, as-needed basis with flexible workload. Remote work possible, but preference for Tucson/Phoenix-based drafters for occasional site visits or meetings.
