A 501c3 based in the US, with global presence, is seeking a skilled grant writer to research, prepare, and submit compelling grant proposals to secure funding for the Foundation, which works with high-impact social impact entrepreneurs in developing countries. The ideal candidate will have experience in nonprofit/social enterprise grant writing, a strong understanding of impact-driven funding opportunities, and the ability to align proposals with the Foundation’s mission and values. Scope of Work: 1. Grant Research & Identification • Research and identify at least 10-15 relevant grant opportunities (foundations, corporate grants, impact funds) that align with: o Global social entrepreneurship (focus on emerging markets) o Economic empowerment and sustainable community development o Innovation in education, health, agriculture, or clean energy • Provide a prioritized list of grants with submission deadlines, eligibility criteria, and award ranges. 2. Grant Proposal Development • Draft 3 high-quality grant applications, including: o Narrative proposals (mission alignment, program impact, scalability) o Budget justifications o Supporting documents (case studies, entrepreneur success stories) • Ensure proposals reflect the Foundation’s values while meeting funder requirements. 3. Collaboration & Review Process • 2-3 consultation meetings (via Zoom) with the project sponsor to: o Discuss the Foundation’s funding priorities and ethical guidelines. o Review grant opportunities and alignment with the Foundation’s global focus. o Refine messaging to ensure authenticity and compliance. • Incorporate feedback and revisions before submission. 4. Submission & Follow-Up • Submit polished grant applications before deadlines. • Provide a summary report of submissions, including key dates for follow-up. • (Optional) Assist with donor acknowledgment or impact reports if grants are awarded. Deliverables: 1. List of 10-15 vetted grant opportunities (with summaries and deadlines) 2. 3 completed grant applications (customized for each funder) 3. 2-3 strategy meetings with the project sponsor 4. Final submission package (including all attachments) Bonus Structure (Performance-Based Incentive) • Bonus available for grant awards • Bonus paid upon confirmation of funding. Required Skills & Experience: • Proven track record in grant writing (nonprofits, social enterprises, or impact investing). • Strong research skills to identify global funding opportunities. • Excellent storytelling—ability to convey entrepreneurs’ impact persuasively. • Cultural sensitivity (experience with global development preferred). • Responsive communicator—open to feedback and revisions.
