Hey there! My name is Robbie, and I’m the lead singer of Oceans Away, a melodic hardcore band based in Los Angeles, CA. We are 99% done with our music video and are looking for a talented and imaginative VFX artist to help us complete the final touches. You’ll be working closely with me and our cinematographer, Brant Hadfield. We have all the footage ready and are available 24/7 to assist you throughout the process. What We Need: • Compositing • Rotoscoping • Attention to detail • Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve • Imaginative and creative approach • Strong communication skills • Fluent in English • Entry-level is fine, but your work must be high-quality Project Details: • Band: Oceans Away • Song: Transatlantic • Concept: You will create several VFX-heavy scenes using our previous video as a guide only—we need you to exceed the previous work. • Style: Realism – no cartoony, no low-quality effects. • Story: The video follows the singer’s journey to pursue his dreams as an artist. However, he is haunted by the reality that he must leave behind his girlfriend, friends, and entire life to chase his dreams. The title Transatlantic represents this journey across the ocean to Los Angeles. Budget & Opportunity: We can only offer $50 for this job, as our budget was exhausted on the initial VFX team, who unfortunately did a poor job. However, we are a well-known band with a strong following, and this project can help you build your portfolio and resume as a VFX artist.
