What I Need Help With: - Creating a cleaner, thicker, or dry-style Chamoy coating that sticks well and doesn’t pool - Fixing color bleed issues specifically with Skittles - Reducing over-sour flavor in Sour Punch Twists - Making the coating easier on the stomach (less acidic, better balance) - Developing a repeatable, shelf-stable formula for small batch and future scale My Current Formula: - 2 cups water - 2 cups Mega Chamoy - 7 watermelon Pulparindo candies - 2–3 spoons Walmart granulated sugar - Heated until dissolved, cooled for 30–45 minutes, used to coat candies with Tajín. This works well with Peach Rings and Gushers, but: - Skittles bleed and pool at the bottom of the containers. - Sour Punch is too sour and lacks perceived value when packed.
