SQL and Automation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled SQL and Automation Specialist to support our data science team, which runs an advanced analytics portal for our company. This role requires a proactive individual who is adept at managing databases, coding, and automating data processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Responsibilities: Manage and optimize MS SQL databases, ensuring stability, reliability, and performance. Develop and maintain API endpoints, including integrations from platforms like Shopify into SQL databases. Implement and oversee Azure SQL mirroring to ensure data redundancy and high availability. Handle SIS integrations and manage complex data import procedures. Construct and maintain automated data pipelines to streamline data workflows. Perform data cleansing and harmonization to ensure data quality and consistency. Develop automated systems for reporting, including import/export functionalities to SFTP. Connect and configure databases for integration with analytics tools like Tableau. Maintain database systems according to best practices, updating and refining processes as needed. Required Skills and Qualifications: 2-3 years of relevant experience in SQL database management and data automation. Proficiency in managing Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL. Experience in coding and API development, preferably with knowledge of integrating Shopify data. Familiarity with SIS integrations and data import/export protocols. Strong skills in building automated data pipelines and performing data cleansing. Capable of creating and managing connections between databases and analytics platforms like Tableau. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, accurate work outputs. Excellent project documentation skills and a track record of maintaining comprehensive project records. Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing project priorities. Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with remote teams and stakeholders. Additional Information: This is a remote position with flexible hours, but availability during core business hours is preferred for team collaborations.
