The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the remodeling or construction industry, and will be adept at financial reporting and inventory management. This role requires close collaboration with our in-house team and external accounting firm to ensure accurate and efficient financial processes.​ Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Conduct monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.​ Prepare comprehensive monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.​ Manage the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial activities are accurately recorded.​ Post necessary adjusting entries to correct account balances and ensure compliance with accounting principles.​ Inventory Management: Utilize QBES's Enhanced Inventory Receiving (EIR) feature to manage inventory processes effectively.​ Regularly reconcile the Inventory Offset Account to ensure accurate matching of item receipts and corresponding bills, maintaining the integrity of inventory and accounts payable records.​ Compliance and Audit: Review and audit financial data entered by our in-house team to maintain accuracy and integrity.​ Work closely with our external accounting firm to facilitate tax preparation, audits, and other financial matters.​ Qualifications: Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in the remodeling or construction industry.​ Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise, particularly with the Enhanced Inventory Receiving feature.​ Strong understanding of construction-specific accounting practices, including job costing.​ Experience in reconciling accounts, such as the Inventory Offset Account.​ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.​ Effective communication skills for remote collaboration.​ Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with external accounting firms.​ Background in auditing financial records.​ Additional Information: This is a remote position; candidates must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace.​ We will provide access to our systems via remote desktop.​ The role's time commitment will be determined in consultation with the successful candidate, based on their expertise and our company's needs.
