Hello! I’m looking for a talented freelance Laravel developer to help take a passion project to the next level—a web application I built for my candle-making business that supports research, development, and product formulation. As a self-taught developer, I’ve created this tool from the ground up. It’s become a fairly sophisticated internal system, currently running only in a local development environment. While the app is fully functional and tailored to my workflow, it needs expert eyes to review, clean up, deploy, and set it on a solid path for future growth. About the Application: The app is designed to streamline the creative and technical process behind candle making—managing formulas, tracking test results, and documenting development efforts. It does not yet include inventory or order management, but those may be future additions. Long-term, I’d love to turn it into a subscription-based platform to support other makers in the industry. What I’m Looking For: Code Review & Refactoring Review and enhance the existing Laravel codebase, ensuring it’s clean, maintainable, and aligned with modern best practices. Deployment Support Guide the process of moving the app from local development to a live, production-ready environment—including help choosing hosting, configuring environments, and setting up deployment workflows. Security Review Perform a security audit to ensure safe handling of user data, particularly as we prepare to open the app to broader usage. Feature Development Collaborate on new features like advanced formula tracking, R&D logs, user accounts, and (potentially) multi-user/SaaS functionality. Scalability Guidance Advise on strategies to ensure the app is scalable and ready for a broader user base over time. Current Tech Stack: Laravel PostgreSQL Vue.js (light usage) I'm open to changes or improvements based on your recommendations and experience. Ideal Candidate: Proficient in Laravel and clean architectural practices Experienced with deploying Laravel/PostgreSQL/Vue applications Comfortable working with and improving an existing codebase Able to explain technical decisions clearly to someone non-technical Proactive, communicative, and solution-oriented Bonus: Experience with SaaS development and subscription platforms Project Scope & Potential: This will likely start as a one-time project to polish and launch the application.
