Job Title: Industrial Hygienist – Annual IH Survey (Jacksonville, FL) Location: Jacksonville, FL 32212 Contract Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Job Summary: Aeterna Environmental LLC seeks an experienced Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or qualified Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) professional to conduct an annual Industrial Hygiene (IH) Survey for our client in Jacksonville. This position includes performing air and surface sampling, noise monitoring, compressed air analysis, PPE evaluation, and preparation of a comprehensive compliance report. Key Responsibilities: Conduct personnel exposure air monitoring for heavy metals (cadmium, lead, nickel, zinc, aluminum, hexavalent chromium) at: Walk-In Blast Booth Around the Booth Blast Cabinet Welding Process Area Collect and analyze surface swab samples in the Employee Lunchroom in accordance with ASTM D7659-21. Evaluate PPE and engineering controls; provide written recommendations to ensure OSHA compliance. Conduct occupational noise exposure monitoring for 17 employees in accordance with 29 CFR §1910.95. Test compressed air quality against ANSI/CGA G-7.1-2018 Grade D breathable air standards. Utilize an AIHA-accredited lab for all sample analyses and follow standard chain-of-custody procedures. Prepare and deliver a complete, clear technical report with findings, lab results, and recommendations within two (2) weeks of survey. Qualifications: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial hygiene or environmental health & safety Familiarity with OSHA standards (29 CFR §1910.134, 1910.95) Experience with air and noise sampling instrumentation Knowledge of ASTM and ANSI/CGA testing protocols Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a government background check for base access Strong technical writing and communication skills Proficiency using IH monitoring equipment (e.g., SKC pumps, dosimeters, sound meters) OSHA 30 or HAZWOPER certification a plus Compensation: Offer your best rate to complete the project. We are going with lowest cost to the proposal that demonstrates sufficient experience in the field. Price should include all necessary equipment, travel to and from the site, lab testing and a findings report.
