We’re looking for an experienced skincare expert or esthetician to help us build the foundation for a conversational chatbot that offers personalized skincare product recommendations. This role involves researching and recommending products based on a wide variety of user-reported factors such as skin type, concerns, goals, sensitivities, age, lifestyle, and environmental factors. Our chatbot will act as a virtual skincare consultant - providing users with tailored advice and product suggestions in real time. To make this possible, we need an expert to map out the logic and framework the AI will follow. What You’ll Do: - Research and recommend skincare products based on different user profiles (e.g., oily skin, acne-prone, aging concerns, hyperpigmentation, etc.) - Help us define the key variables and questions that should be asked to understand a user’s skin and goals - Create product recommendation rules and frameworks that can use to match users to ideal products - Suggest trusted brands and products to include (can be drugstore, luxury, clean beauty, etc.) - Stay mindful of ingredient interactions, skin conditions. Ideal Candidate Has: - Background in skincare, dermatology, esthetics, or cosmetic science - Licensed esthetician or cosmetologist preferred - Deep knowledge of skincare ingredients and how they interact - Familiarity with various skin types and common concerns - Experience with product curation or building skincare routines This is a freelance/contract role, with potential for ongoing collaboration as we expand our product database and logic engine.
