The app is fully built, patented, and live on the App Store, with strong support from Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell, Apple Education, and UW Foster School of Business. We are launching a pilot test in a real school environment and need a highly skilled React developer to optimize the platform, implement diagnostics, and enhance system performance based on test results. Role & Responsibilities Pilot Test Execution: Implement tracking systems, diagnostics, and analytics to measure user behavior, response times, and engagement during the pilot. Real-Time Data Logging: Improve push notification delivery tracking, API response times, and event logging in Firebase Firestore. Performance Optimization: Debug and enhance app speed, alert accuracy, and backend efficiency for real-time emergency response. Feature Development: Identify, propose, and implement scalability and usability improvements based on pilot test feedback. System Reliability: Improve error handling, crash monitoring, and network performance for a seamless user experience. Security & Privacy Compliance: Ensure user location tracking and notifications meet strict data protection and privacy standards. Required Skills & Experience Expertise in React.js & React Native (3+ years) Strong experience with Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Functions, APNs/FCM) Proficiency in real-time data handling (WebSockets, push notifications, geolocation services) Experience with API integrations (Apple Maps, REST/GraphQL) Debugging and performance optimization skills (React Profiler, network monitoring) Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Sentry, Datadog) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications Background in emergency response tech, edtech, or SaaS Experience in security and privacy best practices for location-based apps Familiarity with iOS and Android deployment processes Why Join Us?
