The Opportunity Sigma is looking for a sharp, creative, and data-driven Contract Email Copywriter to own our email content strategy and execution. If you live for high open rates, obsess over click-through rates, and craft copy that stops the scroll and converts skeptics into champions, we want you. As a contractor, you’ll be responsible for writing and optimizing all things email—from one-off campaigns to nurture sequences, product announcements to field marketing promotions. You’ll collaborate closely with demand generation, field marketing, and customer teams to craft messages that cut through the noise, drive engagement, and turn curiosity into action. You’ll also spearhead the launch of Sigma’s newsletter program, shaping the editorial vision, format, and cadence to establish a must-read resource for data leaders. What You’ll Do Write scroll-stopping email copy that drives action and delivers measurable results. Develop and refine email messaging strategies that align with our audience segments, campaign goals, and brand voice. Work with demand gen, field marketing, and lifecycle teams to create high-performing nurture sequences, product updates, event invites, and more. Own and execute Sigma’s newsletter program, from concept to delivery—curating thought leadership, industry insights, and product content to engage and grow our audience. Test, analyze, and iterate on subject lines, CTAs, and body copy to maximize engagement. Ensure every email delivers value—whether it’s educating, inspiring, or driving a decision. What We’re Looking For 3+ years of experience writing high-converting B2B SaaS email campaigns. A data-informed storyteller—you know how to craft compelling narratives but also rely on analytics to fine-tune your approach. Mastery of tone and messaging—you can adapt your writing for different audiences, whether it’s a skeptical data engineer or a forward-thinking exec. Strong understanding of email performance metrics and what makes an email work (or flop). Experience with email marketing platforms (especially Hubspot) and A/B testing tools. A deep love for clear, concise, and conversion-focused copywriting. A strategic thinker who can launch and scale a newsletter program that delivers consistent value and engagement. Why Sigma?
