Content Marketing Intern Job Description Job Title: Content Marketing Intern - DUI Defense and Criminal Law Overview: We specialize in DUI defense and criminal law, seeks a highly motivated and skilled Content Marketing Intern (CMI) to lead our content strategy. This role focuses on creating transparent, educational content primarily addressing DUI and criminal defense issues, following the "They Ask, You Answer" methodology. You will be instrumental in elevating our firm as the go-to resource for individuals facing DUI charges and other criminal offenses. We have found that individuals with journalism training often excel in this position. Key Responsibilities: DUI and Criminal Law Content Creation: Produce at least 3 new pieces of high-quality, educational content weekly Use tools to chop this up and repurpose across all other social media platforms Develop a content calendar beginning with the "Big 5" topics, tailored to DUI and criminal defense Specialized Content Development: Create premium content such as ebooks, guides, white papers, and infographics Produce video and audio content explaining complex legal concepts in simple terms Work with animators and graphic designers to visually help people Digital Marketing for Legal Services: Manage the firm's website, blog, and social media presence Optimize content for search engines (SEO) with a focus on DUI and criminal law-related keywords Coordinate email marketing campaigns Performance Analysis and Client Acquisition: Work with our Chief Marketing Officer and Founder to track content performance and engagement metrics Provide regular reports on content effectiveness and its impact on client acquisition Meet with the legal team to align content strategy with client needs and case trends Continuous Legal Education and Marketing Innovation: Stay updated on DUI laws, criminal defense strategies, and relevant legal trends Engage in continual education on content marketing best practices and tools AI-Assisted Content Creation: Collaborate with our AI expert to develop and refine AI-assisted content creation workflows Utilize AI tools to generate content ideas, outlines, and drafts Edit and refine AI-generated content to ensure quality, accuracy, and brand voice consistency Provide feedback on AI tools and processes to continuously improve their effectiveness Essential Qualities We're Looking For: Passion for Writing: You have a genuine love for crafting compelling narratives and informative content. While proficiency in AI is not required, you should be open to learning and collaborating with our AI expert to establish efficient workflows and AI-assisted processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is preferred, but not required. Equivalent experience and a proven track record in content creation will also be considered. Journalism Training is a plus. We've found that individuals with a background in journalism often possess the research, interviewing, and writing skills necessary to excel in this role. 2-3 years of experience in content marketing, with an emphasis on educating and adding tons of value to the viewers Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly Strong proficiency with storytelling and how to engage the viewer, listener or reader Proficiency in SEO principles, content management systems, and video editing Basic understanding of DUI laws and criminal justice procedures (or willingness to learn quickly) Familiarity with AI-assisted writing tools and willingness to learn new AI technologies to enhance content creation processes Application Process: At Nash Law PLLC, we believe in finding the right fit through practical demonstration of skills. If your initial application impresses us, you'll be invited to the first interview by one or two of our team members. If you make it past that you will be asked to participate in our paid tryout process. This approach allows you to showcase your abilities in real-world scenarios while being compensated for your time and effort. Paid Tryout Exercises: If you advance to the next phase, you'll be asked to complete the following paid exercises: Content Refinement: Transform a poorly written rough draft into a polished, professional article. Content Creation from Outline: Develop two full-length articles from a basic outline, demonstrating your ability to flesh out ideas and create comprehensive content. Interview Question Development: Given a list of blog titles, create a set of interview questions you would use to gather information from an expert to complete each article. Interview and Content Production: You'll be provided with a question that serves as the main subject of a video or blog post. Your task will be to: Interview the hiring Intern (playing the role of the expert) to gather comprehensive information on the topic. Within 24 to 48 hours after the interview, deliver a completed blog post or video that thoroughly answers the given question. These exercises are designed to evaluate your skills in writing, editing, interviewing, time management, and ability to transform complex information into accessible content – all crucial aspects of the Content Marketing Intern role at our firm.
