About the Role Zaden Technologies is hiring a senior fullstack engineer with deep experience building custom tooling for Eclipse Theia or VS Code. You'll help design and implement a modern MBSE development environment for our next-gen AI-assisted product, Icarus, which transforms natural language and legacy documentation into validated SysML v2 models. This role will focus primarily on Theia-based frontend development, while also contributing to API integrations and LSP connectivity for backend services. What You’ll Build Working closely with Zaden’s AI/ML, UX, and MBSE experts, you’ll: Build Theia extensions to support textual SysML v2 notation editing and syntax validation Integrate custom LSPs and backend microservices via REST/gRPC Design interactive model visualizations (block diagrams, activity trees, etc.) Connect models to Git-based versioning Scaffold plugins for AI-powered design validation and model synthesis Implement clean UX for systems engineers across desktop and web platforms Ideal Experience 3+ years with Theia, Monaco Editor, and VS Code extension APIs Strong knowledge of TypeScript, React, and LSP integration Familiarity with SysML v2, KerML, or similar DSLs REST and gRPC client-side integration Git workflows and CI/CD integration in developer tools Nice to Have Background in MBSE, digital engineering, or modeling frameworks (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw) Familiarity with Neo4j, PostgreSQL, or Redis Experience interfacing IDEs with AI/ML APIs (e.g., NLP transformers, verification engines) Experience with model diffing, version control conflicts, or visual model composition Tech Stack Frontend: Theia, Monaco, React, TypeScript Backend Services: Python (FastAPI), Neo4j, PostgreSQL, Redis Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes CI/CD: GitLab Security: OAuth2, RBAC, NIST compliance Deliverables & Milestones We will structure the engagement around four core deliverables: Theia Plugin Architecture + Textual Editor (SysML v2) Syntax-aware LSP integration and error reporting Model tree visualization with Git integration AI interaction plugin hooks for backend validation Milestone-based payouts.
