Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle Database Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in deploying and managing Oracle Database v19c in both standalone and RAC environments on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8. This role demands exceptional technical expertise, meticulous documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and highly available Oracle database solutions, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. Responsibilities: ● Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Oracle Database v19c standalone and RAC environments on RHEL 8. ● Develop comprehensive documentation, including detailed runbooks and procedures with screenshots, for all deployment, configuration, and maintenance tasks. ● Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including application developers, system administrators, and network engineers. ● Manage and maintain Linux operating systems, including disk management and performance tuning. ● Configure and manage Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM). ● Implement and manage Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery. ● Develop and execute SQL scripts for database schema creation, modification, and data management. ● Design and implement database schema changes in accordance with application requirements. ● Configure and maintain high availability and failover solutions for Oracle databases. ● Design and implement robust disaster recovery configurations and solutions. ● Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues in a timely and efficient manner. ● Participate in non prod and production environments as needed to support critical database projects ● Stay current with the latest Oracle database technologies and best practices. ● Contribute to the development and improvement of database standards and procedures. Qualifications: ● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience. ● Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as an Oracle Database Engineer with a focus on deployment and administration in regulated Enterprise environments ● Proven experience deploying and managing Oracle Database v19c in both standalone and RAC configurations. ● Extensive experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8. ● Demonstrated ability to create detailed technical documentation, including runbooks with screenshots. ● Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, disk management, and performance tuning. ● Proficiency in configuring and managing Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM). ● Hands-on experience implementing and managing Oracle Data Guard. ● Excellent SQL scripting skills and experience with database schema creation and modification. ● Solid understanding of high availability, failover, and disaster recovery concepts and configurations for Oracle databases. ● Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. ● Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Bonus Qualifications: ● Experience deploying and managing Oracle databases on VMware ESXi virtualization platform. ● Experience with Nutanix storage solutions. Interview Process: Candidates will be required to demonstrate their technical abilities through hands-on lab exercises conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams. All necessary tools and resources will be provided for the lab work.
