Our website is fully custom-coded in PHP + JavaScript, and we need a highly skilled, detail-oriented developer who can execute technical enhancements based on fully fleshed-out design files from our creative director. This role is for a senior-level web developer (a single person, not a team) who can efficiently fix existing website issues, implement dynamic pricing, build a PDF designer presentation tool, and improve NLP-driven search capabilities. Key Responsibilities Website Fixes & Enhancements - Debug and resolve outstanding UX/UI and functionality issues from our previous developer. - Ensure full compatibility across desktop, mobile, and tablet (iOS and Android). - Improve website speed, performance, and backend efficiency. Phase 2 Execution - Dynamic Pricing System: Build a fully functional pricing engine that allows for complex product customization pricing. - PDF Designer Presentation Tool: Develop an automated tool that generates designer presentations based on product selections. - NLP (Natural Language Processing) Search Enhancements: Improve search results by implementing better natural language search capabilities. Collaboration & Execution - Work directly with our creative director, who will provide precise design files in Illustrator, Figma, etc. - Follow design and functionality specifications without deviation—this is an execution-focused role. - Provide technical recommendations for hosting and backend infrastructure improvements. Who You Are - A single, independent developer (no agencies, no teams). - 5+ years of experience in PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, and backend architecture. - Strong understanding of dynamic pricing structures and e-commerce custom pricing models. - Experience with PDF generation tools and automated document creation. - Some knowledge of NLP search and AI-driven search improvements (preferred but not required). - Extremely detail-oriented—must be able to implement pixel-perfect designs based on provided files. - Comfortable working on high-end, design-forward websites (experience in luxury, editorial, or architecturally inspired sites preferred).
