Data Extraction (ETL Process) • OST: Export takeoff data (quantities, types of work) via CSV or API if supported. • Quick Bid: Extract labor and cost estimates; exports to Excel/CSV are often supported. • Microsoft Project: Use the Microsoft Project Data Interchange (MPX/MPP) format or its Project API (CSOM/REST) to read/write task and resource data. You’ll need middleware that: • Pulls takeoff and bid data from OST and Quick Bid, • Maps that data to tasks, durations, and resource types for Microsoft Project. Tools to Use: • Python or Node.js for building integration services. • Pandas, NumPy (Python) for data manipulation. • Microsoft Graph API or Project Web API to programmatically modify schedules.
