Build responsive WordPress (or Squarespace) site w/ ticket functionality- Strong Design Skills!

We are a small but mighty nonprofit community theater in a vibrant tourist town, and we’re ready for a new website that reflects the creativity and spirit of our productions. We’re looking for a talented WordPress (or Squarespace) website designer/developer who is not only tech-savvy but also has a strong eye for visual design and layout. This is a contract project to design and build a beautiful, functional, and easy-to-update 4-page website by June. You’ll be collaborating with a small team who will provide the content—but we’ll count on you to give feedback and help shape the content so it’s SEO-friendly, engaging, and effective. Key Deliverables: • A visually striking and mobile-responsive website (WordPress or Squarespace) • 4 primary pages (Shows, About, Visit, Support – with flexibility for your input) • Integrated ticketing function (we currently use Eventbrite, but want native ticket sales on the site) • Basic SEO setup and keyword implementation • Clear layout and guidance so non-tech volunteers can make updates • Setup and/or integration readiness for Mailchimp email marketing • Smooth performance across devices and browsers Must-Haves: • Outstanding graphic design skills — this site should be a joy to look at • Proven WordPress/Squarespace development experience, including customizations and plugin integration • Experience with ticketing systems and/or WooCommerce for events • Knowledge of SEO best practices • Familiarity with Mailchimp or similar tools for email marketing • Excellent communicator who can collaborate with a non-technical team and offer strategic input on content and structure
