Looking for RTMP Streaming Backend Engineer (Subtitles + Translations)

I am building a virtual event platform and need an experienced backend engineer to set up a self-hosted streaming server with real-time subtitles and multi-language subtitle translations. Responsibilities: - Set up an RTMP server possibly with SRS. - Implement HLS conversion for browser compatibility. - Integrate real-time subtitles - Enable multi-language translations (AI-based or API integration like DeepL, OpenAI) - Optimize for low latency and scalability - Implement security (token-based authentication, stream protection). Requirements: - Strong experience with RTMP, HLS, FFmpeg, and SRS. - Proficiency in backend languages (Node.js, Python, or Go). - Experience with real-time subtitles (WebVTT, SRT) and translation APIs. - Knowledge of cloud-based media services (Google Cloud Speech-to-Text) - Experience with WebRTC (preferred, but not mandatory) - Ability to optimize video streams for low latency and high quality. Preferred Skills: - Experience with CDN optimization for streaming. - Previous work on virtual events, live streaming, or OTT platforms. Project Scope & Duration: - Short-term setup (1-2 weeks) with potential long-term maintenance partnership Familiarity with Next.js (for frontend integration, not requried).
