We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Technical SEO Specialist to optimize the performance of our WordPress website through a focused, project-based engagement. This initial project involves identifying and resolving critical SEO issues. If there’s a strong fit, the role may evolve into a long-term, monthly maintenance and SEO/content optimization partnership. Project Responsibilities (WordPress-Focused): - Audit and resolve critical SEO issues such as 404 errors, broken links, and crawl problems - Optimize WordPress site structure, including menus, internal linking, and page hierarchy - Review and refine metadata (page titles, meta descriptions, headers) using SEO plugins (e.g., Rank Math, Yoast) - Update and implement schema/microdata via plugins or manual code where needed - Improve site speed and performance, focusing on Core Web Vitals and using tools such as WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, or similar - Ensure proper indexing and crawlability via robots.txt, XML sitemaps, and Search Console settings Potential Ongoing Responsibilities (Not Part of Initial Project): If the initial engagement is successful, we may extend the partnership to include: - Enhancing on-page customer experience with UI/UX improvements informed by SEO insights - Creating and managing a monthly content calendar - Collaborating with our team to optimize content created in-house for search performance and engagement - Monitoring keyword rankings, traffic, and SEO KPIs, and providing monthly performance reports Ideal Candidate Qualifications: - Demonstrated experience with technical SEO for - WordPress websites - Proficient in tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush - Strong grasp of Core Web Vitals and performance optimization best practices for WordPress - Hands-on experience with SEO-related plugins (Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO, etc.) - Comfortable communicating technical findings and recommendations clearly - Bonus: Experience working alongside content teams or managing editorial calendars Deliverables (For This Project): - A detailed technical audit and list of resolved issues - Optimized metadata and schema implementation - Measurable improvements in site performance, crawl health, and search visibility Why Work With Us: We’re a collaborative team committed to quality, clear communication, and long-term success.
