Contract Graphic Designer: Logo and branding for new nonprofit arts presenter

Documentary Southeast is a new nonprofit devoted to presenting documentary film and photography. We're based out of Mars Landing Galleries, in Mars Hill, NC, and we'll exhibit work primarily focused on the American Southeast or by makers from the 10 states in this region. We'll be programming work dating anywhere from the 1970s to the current day. We need a skilled and experienced graphic designer to create a logo and branding package in the lead up to our launch, in October 2025. We already have one quote from a designer I've worked with before, but I want to open the bidding process to find talent anywhere within the states of our mission's focus. We're looking for a contemporary logo and branding package that doesn't have the hallmarks of AI creation, and I lean toward clever design that isn't afraid of hand-drawn elements. Our anticipated audience is primarily age 40+, educated, liberal—think NPR listener—who appreciates the arts/culture. Along with your portfolio, please offer a fixed-price bid that includes both the logo and branding package. Thank you!
