Job Description: Natural Born Champions (NBC), a youth-serving nonprofit based in Baltimore, is seeking a dynamic and experienced trainer or training team to lead our 2025 Summer Staff Training from June 20th to July 3rd, 2025. This is a key opportunity to help shape and energize a team of 12–15 staff who will work with youth across age groups, including PK-5th grade, middle and high school students, and justice-involved youth. Training Schedule: Dates: June 20 – July 3, 2025 (Monday–Friday) Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM daily (includes 30-minute lunch break) Location: Baltimore, MD (in-person training required) Scope of Work: Week 1: June 20: NBC Orientation — culture, mission, vision, policies, protocols Staff icebreakers, team photos, uniforms, and badge distribution Week of June 23: Team bonding and mental wellness First Aid/CPR certification (NBC covers fees for up to 8 staff — $0 to $80 pp) Professional development and leadership building NBC curriculum overview (calendar, engagement strategies, icebreakers, mock sessions) Week 2: Week of June 30: -Instructional development for working with: -PK–5th graders Middle and high school students Opportunity youth (juvenile justice involved) -Defining the roles of Senior Mentors vs. Lead Senior Mentors -Training on creating daily summer enrichment PowerPoints Key Responsibilities: -Design or revise NBC’s onboarding training content and curriculum -Lead all daily training sessions with energy and structure -Infuse culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and youth-centered practices -Deliver training that blends instructional content, engagement, and hands-on practice Ideal Candidate: Experienced educator, trainer, or youth program facilitator Background in OST, SEL, or youth development preferred Skilled in team-building, curriculum delivery, and engaging diverse learners CPR/First Aid certification and ability to facilitate (or coordinate with a certified provider) Budget: $3,500 total compensation. NBC will cover additional CPR certification costs for up to 8 participants.
