Job Description: We are an established environmental consulting firm based in Southwest Florida seeking immediate support from a recruiter experienced in sourcing candidates in environmental sciences, ecology, or natural resources fields. We have an active opening for a Wetland Scientist role that has proven challenging to fill through traditional posting methods (e.g., LinkedIn, EcoJobs). We need help actively sourcing, screening, and presenting qualified candidates who have professional experience conducting wetland delineations, preparing regulatory reports, and supporting permitting efforts (state and federal). Scope of Work: Actively source and reach out to candidates with the right background (environmental consulting, ecology, wetlands science, biology) Screen candidates for basic fit: field skills, technical writing ability, understanding and experience of wetland regulations (USACE/FDEP), and ability to work in Southwest Florida. Present qualified candidates with summary notes and resumes Ideal Recruiter Profile: Prior experience recruiting for environmental services, AEC (architecture, engineering, construction) firms, or ecology/wildlife science roles. Ability to source mid-level environmental professionals (2+ years experience preferred). NO ENTRY LEVEL CANDIDATE Comfortable conducting initial qualification screening based on simple criteria (fieldwork ability, Florida ecosystems familiarity, technical writing comfort) Strong communication skills Ability to act fast: we are ready to hire if the right candidate is found Deliverables: 5–10 qualified candidates presented (goal) Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. Candidates should be willing to relocate or already live within commuting distance to Port Charlotte, FL Budget and Timeline: Open to hourly or milestone-based pricing proposals Priority given to recruiters who can begin sourcing within 2–3 days of project award Expect initial batch of candidates within 10–14 days Why Work With Us: We are a growing firm that values building a strong team of skilled field scientists.
