Startup Accountant Needed – Financial Projections + Investor Data Room Support

We are an early-stage startup in need of a freelance accountant with strong experience supporting startup fundraising efforts. This is a short-term but high-impact project with potential for ongoing work. You’ll help us: Create or refine detailed financial projections aligned with startup business models Identify and prepare due diligence documents typically required for pre-seed/seed/Series A funding Build and organize a complete investor data room (P&L, balance sheet, cap table, fundraising decks, contracts, etc.) We’re looking for someone who: Has hands-on experience with startup fundraising processes (preferred: worked with founders directly or supported VC due diligence) Can produce investor-ready materials quickly and professionally Understands common SaaS or enterprise software metrics Is familiar with tools like Excel, Google Sheets, DocSend, or Notion for sharing materials Bonus: CPA or accounting certification We’re not looking for: Corporate-only experience without early-stage exposure Generic bookkeeping or tax help — this is about strategic finance and fundraising readiness We want to talk to you if: You've helped other startups raise money successfully You enjoy working directly with founders You’re efficient, clear, and know what documents investors will ask for before we do
