DESCRIPTION: AZIERTA LLC is a civil engineering consultancy firm actively seeking to hire a Construction and Engineering Inspector to join our team for ongoing and upcoming infrastructure and development projects in the state of Virginia (VA). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Some of the responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: - Perform construction site inspections in accordance with Virginia state and local regulations. - Independent complex inspections of structure construction processes and materials to assure compliance with the construction contract. - Monitor quality assurance documentation to verify conformity with quality standards. - Ensure contractor compliance with approved plans, specifications, and permit conditions. - Prepare detailed daily inspection reports and photographic documentation. - Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and contractors. - Identify and report deficiencies or deviations from approved plans. - Monitor safety practices on site. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: - Certified Construction Inspector (CCI) or equivalent certification recognized in Virginia - At least 5 years of inspection experience in civil or municipal infrastructure projects - Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field. - Familiarity with VDOT (Virginia Department of Transportation) standards and specifications - Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites within Virginia - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inspection reporting tools - Good communication skills (English language proficiency is required).
