Planning Consultant for Land Development Projects (Freelance/Contract)

We’re a newly launched entitlement and permitting consultancy KISPERS focused on land development projects throughout California with an eye to future expansion. While we’re still in the early stages and do not yet have active projects, we’re actively building a small, reliable team of experienced planning professionals to partner with us as projects slowly start begin. We’re looking to build long-term relationships with planners who have hands-on experience in land development and permitting—people we can count on for a variety of project types, from small residential jobs to large-scale subdivisions. Ideal Candidates Will Have: Experience with California planning processes, particularly entitlements and permitting Strong background in land development, including subdivisions, design review, site planning, etc. Familiarity with CEQA is important; NEPA experience is a plus Comfortable working on a range of project types, including: Single-family home design reviews Small to mid-size subdivisions Commercial pad development Condional use permits , rezone, general plan requests, variances and etc Larger master-planned subdivisions and or commercial centers Solid experience in current planning (required); long-range planning knowledge is a bonus Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup What We're Offering: Flexible, freelance/contract work Long-term collaboration as we grow A chance to be part of a small but experienced team from the ground up Involvement in a wide variety of California-based land use projects WHEN APPLYING.
