We are a financial information outlet seeking a reliable freelancer to attend and take thorough notes at a series of investment events in Omaha, Nebraska around the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting on Saturday May 3rd 2025 . The events take place from Thursday May 1st through Sunday May 4th 2025, and include lectures, seminars, and forums featuring prominent voices in value investing. The first conference starts Thursday May 1st and the events finish Sunday May 4th. You do NOT need to attend all the events and are flexible on working with your schedule. We are willing to pay hourly or set fee whatever you prefer. Note: some events overlap so while we are open to hiring two freelancers, most likely we will have one person and cover the higher priority one) Obviously the more events you can attend the more we can compensate. We will provide all details. locations etc once we narrow down candidates and see what works with your schedule. This is the perfect opportunity for a young aspiring investor going to Berkshire's annual meeting and looking to network, learn new ideas and make some money. Its also great for someone in Omaha area who is looking to earn extra cash and attend interesting forums. These notes will be used to produce post-event content for our readership. You do not need to know finance or investing (although if you do its strongly preferred and its an excellent event for networking in the industry). Ideally the person will record the audio clear enough so it can be understood (for internal use) and take notes on the presentations and some photos of the slides and speakers, plus edit the notes into more formal format. However, if you (don't know finance) and can just record the audio and take some pictures we will consider. We will provide you with a media pass to enter but we need you to bring any basic device which you can use to take notes and could record decent audio like an iphone and laptop. We need two recordings in case one of them is unclear. Please give your quote and make it clear what its based on ie 1. just audio recording and screenshots of slides and pictures of speakers (ideal for someone with little finance background) 2. Writing notes, audio recordings, and taking some pictures of speakers and their slides. 3. Audio recordings, notes, pictures and the notes edited/expanded to be in a more formal article format (our ideal if you know finance). Also give rough idea of which events you would be willing/able to cover (they should be close by) See below for an example of really good notes from a prior conference. Payment can be hourly or fixed rate - please state what you prefer in your reply. Write the letters "HFA" in the beginning of the bid so we know you read the full thing.
