Overview: We are seeking a skilled Application Tester to help ensure our desktop application meets high-quality standards. We are building an app that helps people use their computers better. Pay: On top of the hourly rate, we will pay a fee for every bug discovered. Hours: You should ideally be able to work 10-6PM PST. The ideal candidate will have experience in software testing, a strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with our development team. Your role will involve executing a variety of test cases to verify application functionalities, including: - Application Update: Test the autoupdate functionality to ensure the application updates to the latest version as expected. - Installation and File Handling: Validate that fresh installations download and install the correct version. - Verify file upload processes and ensure files are correctly processed within the application. - Functional Testing: Assess key functionalities such as data processing, file parsing, and response accuracy. - Test both simple and complex file scenarios, including files with multiple sheets and various data structures. - Feature-Specific Testing: Evaluate individual features and functions like data manipulation, calculations, and automated responses within the application.
