We are seeking a detail-oriented proofreader with experience in scientific or medical content to join our editorial team. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of grammar, style, and punctuation, and is comfortable reviewing articles that summarize and interpret research for a general audience. Familiarity with topics like pregnancy, fertility, parenting, and early childhood development is a plus. This position is 5-7 hours per week, with a 24 hour turnaround time for edits. Responsibilities: -Review and proofread written materials, including articles, Q&As, marketing collateral, and website content, ensuring they are free from grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors. -Ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to in-house style and tone -Review citations for formatting accuracy (fact-checking not required) -Track changes and revisions on Google Docs and communicate progress with the team via Monday (project management software) -Maintain a high standard of precision under tight deadlines Requirements: -Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience -Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax -Background in public health, science writing, or medical editing -Strong familiarity with AP style guidelines -Proficiency in Google Workspace, including Google Docs -Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines -Meticulous attention to detail
